Young Professional

Ok, it has been awhile but I finally got my butt in gear and got my computer and internet working perfectly. Lets see, well I finally graduated from BGSU and after a many good failed attempts to find a job after college I finally landed one with SAIC (science applications international corporation) "from science to solution". My title is an associate subcontracts administrator. This is how it works, SAIC is granted or wins prime contracts from the government (mainly dept. of trans. and federal highways in my case) and then subcontract administrators award subcontracts to the prime contracts and it is my job to issue those subcontracts to whoever. In layman's terms I buy people to work jobs for the government. Anyways, my first day of work was on July 31, 2006 and it has been great. I love my job, I have a nice size office, the people are great, the work isn't boring (YET) and I like the area. For the first month of living in VA I signed a lease in Ashburn VA for a one bedroom Apt. that costed 1170/month plus utilities on top of that. Quickly, I realized that this was a waste of money and I wasn't going to be able to afford it. I started looking for a new place to live on craigslist.com. I only had 30 days to get out of my apartment lease so I found a nice house that had a room for rent. My roomies are all older and around 40 but they are really nice and were helpful during the move. So now I live in a 5 bedroom house with 3 other people at half the cost of my one bedroom apartment. The main reason I choose this option was because I didn't have to sign a lease and I can rent month to month, this way, I can't get out whenver. I posted some pictures of the house for you guys to see. Alright I think i'm pretty much caught up with you guys, this weekend Rob is coming to visit and we have some fun stuff to do this weekend. Saturday is SAIC's company picnic at six flags and sunday we are going to bike to DC and site see. Let me know how you guys are doing or if you have any questions. Until then Love ya.
